How to Apply
There are three easy steps to becoming StormReady and/or TsunamiReady. If you have jurisdiction over a community as well as unincorporated
areas of the surrounding county, you only need to submit one application
with the combined populations.
- Contact
your local NWS office. You must contact your local Warning Coordination
Meteorologist before applying. He or she will help make the process even easier.
- Fill out one of the forms below and send it to your local
WCM :
- Arrange a verification visit
- Receive Local Advisory Board
approval
That's it. Once done you can conduct an optional recognition
ceremony where your WCM will present you with the approval, two signs and current recognition stickers. This program is in compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act.
